Anyone can refer a client to Meals on Wheels including family members, friends, a Hospital, GP, Rehab Facility, Community Nurse, Dietitian, Law Enforcement Agency, etc. You can even refer yourself.
There are no waiting lists, and absolutely no contracts.
It is suggested that if you are over 65 (or over 50 Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander) you contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 as you may be eligible to receive a small subsidy.
Once a client has been referred, a coordinator from Meals on Wheels service will contact them to discuss any special requirements and delivery of meals. Special diets are arranged as required.
To start receiving Meals on Wheels simply make an online referral below, or call us on 07 4728 1204. We are available to answer your questions between 8:00am and 2:00pm, Monday to Friday.
